Dim Kountouras was born in Serres, Greece in 1986. At the early age of 10 he started playing the piano and 3 years later he took some percussion lessons in the fields of Greek traditional music while at the same time he got acquainted with the bass guitar next to his brother Stratos Kountouras. Having decided to focus on the guitar and being self – taught, he has played in numerous gigs across Greece, playing various styles of music and has worked as a session musician with many bands. While studying at the Democritus University of Thrace (Dep. of Greek Literature) he had the opportunity to have some lessons with Kostas Paraskevas (Nemesis Guitar School) and since has participated in many online competitions for guitarists. Apart from being an acclaimed guitar tutor he is the main composer of metal band One of Discord and is also working on his first solo album due to be released in 2018.
